For over 125 years, the United Thank Offering has supported mission and ministry in The Episcopal Church over and above the General Convention budget. UTO is now overseen by a Board and supported by the work of Parish Coordinators and Providence Representatives.
The United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church. Through UTO, individuals are invited to embrace and deepen a personal daily spiritual discipline of gratitude.
Includes Bylaws, Memorandum of Understanding, Handbooks, and more.
The United Thank Offering has a rich history that is deeply entwined with the history of The Episcopal Church; it follows the witness of many faithful men, and particularly women, who have dedicated their lives to serving Christ in His Church.
UTO grew out of spontaneous efforts of Julia Chester Emery at a Women’s Auxiliary meeting. View a selection of the historical archives about our century-old relationship.
The Memorial Trust Fund was established in 1982 as a permanent trust. Gifts enable ongoing prayer and remembrance. Funds enable the administrative work of UTO so that 100% of Blue Box donations go to grants, not overhead.
